Welcome Tattoo Disk One

Intense DVD Tutorial

★ ★ ★ ★ ★

This review is for: welcome tattoo: Apprentice Training Series (Disk 1) by C.R. Jordan

This is what we th.ink.

This is a very amazing DVD. I was expecting a good quality DVD from C.R. Jordan, but was pleasantly surprised with what I had received. The DVD case itself is very minimal. However, I kind of like that. It makes me think of my tattoo machines. The looks are minimal, but they work; whereas Chinese machines look kind of cool, but don't work well at all. Even the DVD itself has a professional cover on it. Please note that this DVD series will not be a replacement for a formal apprenticeship. It is simply a tool to go along with it, and enhance what you are learning from your professional mentor.

This DVD features C.R. Jordan himself in the sections of the DVD where you see someone breaking down, or rebuilding a machine, along with his lovely wife relaying all the info. C.R. Jordan does not work overly fast, nor does he go as slow as a snail when demonstrating how to properly work your machine, and his wife speaks in a clear, and confident voice, and enunciates very well. All information within this DVD is relayed perfectly, and is very easy to understand.

This DVD runs for approximately 112 minutes, and contains four chapters, and an intro: Intro: Warnings, Ch1: Welcome, Ch2: How it Works, Ch3: Parts of the Machine, Ch4: Take it Apart, and Ch5: Assemble the machine. There are also really awesome tips within the DVD. Between certain parts of the DVD it will take a short break, and you will see “APPRENTICE TIPS” in a transition, and you will then be given a helpful tip, such as: Budgeting a whole roll of paper towel per tattoo.

The quality of the DVD is phenomenal. Everything is very crisp, clear, and well edited. There are many diagrams, and 3D images to help guide you with the information that is being relayed to the viewer. Also when the speaker is talking there are even lists beside her. This is so when you watch the video again you can take notes. The editing is well done. There are intros, the way each chapter is shown with what seems to be a thick steel door with writing on it, the TattooBooksOnline logo at the start of the video, and much, much more.

This DVD is available on Amazon for a low respectable price, and free shipping.

I give this DVD by C.R. Jordan a 5 out of 5 rating, and this is only because I will not exceed a five star rating for any of my reviews. This DVD is fantastic, well made, organized, easy to understand, and inexpensive. Well worth what you will pay for it. I definitely recommend any apprentice to get this DVD.

Here at th.ink we aim to provide thorough and unbiased reviews of various tattoo related items. These items may vary from aftercare items, pencils, machines, to furniture. We noticed there weren't many sites dedicated to this, and those that were did not get updated often enough to suit what we deem as a valuable resource for unbiased information.
